Saleem Iqbal of Angel Ministries Pakistan has reported an incident in which Christians were injured in an attack by locals in Burewala, Pakistan. On his FB, Saleem Iqbal of Lahore said some members of the Muslim community had opened fire on Christians at Burewala when they were praying in a church at Yaqoobabad. “The firing incident left Christians injured. The firing incident occurred when local Christians were putting up a banner which had verses from the Holy Bible emblazoned on it,” he said. A large number of Christians across Pakistan reacted with sadness and anger at the incident. According to Saleem Iqbal, in the Burewala Church firing on pastors by Muslim assailants, four Christians were injured. A blasphemy case registered against the accused.In a follow-up post on the incident, Saleem Iqbal commented said some anti-Christian elements are pedalling rumours that the Burewala trading of fire took place between two Christian groups.
